We all know that there is no distinct work/life separation anymore. While at work we order a present for a friend’s birthday party. In the evening at home we answer some emails or prepare next day’s meetings.
This lack of clear boundaries can result in stress and the feeling of coming up short when we can’t spend the amount of time we would like to on the things that are important. Whether this is work, sport, friendships or something else. And it is this stress that often leads to burn-outs, a decline in performance and a lack of engagement/focus/energy.
The Inner-balance model teaches us that we don’t change this by starting with our outer priorities, but by balancing the different sides we have as a person. Out of this balance we can set the right goals and divide our time as we would like to.
