What kind of personal details do we collect and why
HeartRoads collects information in order to improve it’s services, to be able to reach out to you, offer you services or for analytical purposes.
If visitors leave comments on heartroads.com, we can collect the data as shown in the contact-form, the IP-address of the visitor and the browser user agent to help us detect spam.
If you are a registered user and are uploading images to the website, you should refrain form uploading images that contain EXIF GPS location details. Visitors of the website can download these images and see your location details if these details are included.
When you leave a comments on heartroads.com, you’re able to let us know if you’re OK with us saving your name, mailaddress and website in the from of a cookie. We save these details in the form of a cookie to make your experience with our website easier; You will not have to fill in these details again the next time you comment on a post. When you leave a comment on heartroads, your comment and it’s metadata will be stored indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognise and approve follow-up comments in stead of having to moderate them separately.
Regarding registered users we can also story the personal information that is being shown in their user profile. All users are able to see, change or delete their personal information at any point in time (usernames cannot be changed). Website administrators are also able to see and change these data.
What are your rights concerning your data
If you have an account on heartRoads or have left a comment on one of our posts, you can request for an export-file of your personal details we have stored. This includes all data that you have submitted. You can also request that we delete all personal data that we have collected about you. This excludes data that we are by law obliged to store, either for administrative, legislative or security purposes.

Visitor comments can be directed through an automated spam-detector service. By using HeartRoads or our services, it is possible that your information is being processed by third parties, among which Matomo, Microsoft and Interact.
