I’m steadily reducing the amount of insulin I take. Right now I use about 50% the amount I used 10 years ago. I workout less, eat a bit less but do not follow a special diet.
What I have learned is that insulin is repressing not only the physical symptoms of diabetes, but the mental ones as well. As if repressed emotions that have accompanied the origin of the disease come back when you take down the dose of what is repressing it (insulin). This gives me the chance to deal with them in a new way and heal.
